before & after :: take 2

Again, what is with the fuzzy weird gray lighting? I swear I don't know. It could be my skylight {?}

Here is the same area, with some tweaks. I lost the scarf at Kasey's bidding, I lost the wreath at several other people's requests, and I replaced the two black frames with 2 antique gold ones to match the antique gold {empty} wood frame up top. I know it's slightly off-center... need to fix that. For now I am leaving the shelves black, out of pure laziness. But I think it's an improvement. The whole things feels lighter and more coordinated with mostly gold and white with a few pops of black. Thanks for the feedback! So whaddya think, is this better, or worse?

I like it - much lighter and brighter. I'd leave the shelves black - I like the contrast (it's not too much contrast, just right). It's great!

Oooh - much better. I liked the other way, but this feels so light and airy.

And it looks pretty with the white chair peeking out on the right side of the picture.

I love it white! You have inspired me to paint my daughter's dresser white. (I'm putting your picture in my tumbler account so I can remember.)

Love it! Later you could even put a lamp in the dresser, move the shelves up, and you wouldn't have to put anything above them. That dresser looks awesome!!

I love the white paint! It looks so fresh and light. The shelves look perfect in black just as they are. It adds a little punch and just enough contrast. Lovely! Great job!!
