We've all seen these boxes in big bins at Michael's. They usually have cute, trendy designs as well as plainer boxes. I think these are great and I use them all over my house. I wait until they go on sale like 2 for $5 and then stock up. Here's a few ways I use them {excuse the blurry pictures}

to store tea in my cupboard

To store baking goods and nuts in my pantry {hmmmm, may need to put cleaning out the pantry on my to-do list}

photo storage, of course {note the PILE of photos I need to sort and put in albums}

to store guest towels in the bathroom cabinet
And my personal favorite way, to use for gifts:

The craft paper and black boxes are especially great for this, and at the same cost as a gift bag, these are so cute and the recipient can reuse them in their home like I have. I just wrapped these up for sake of this post using halved upholstery webbing and a starfish, but imagine them with sparkly ribbon, pinecones, live greenery or a little bundle of herbs tied up top, or with a fabulous bow from vintage ribbon.

How do you use photo storage boxes?

I do have one with recipes that I've clipped, which need to be organized. I like your ideas, though and may use them to be better organized for 2009......always a resolution for a new year!

Oh my gosh, what great ideas!! I love them and will probably incorporate a few of them in my home. Also, I have been racking my brain trying to think of a way to package the mini-bundt cakes I make for gifts, those would totally work. Thank you so much.
Okay, you know I love upholstery webbing, but I had never thought to cut it in half (seems like a no brainer now). I love how it looks on the boxes. Great ideas!
I've had "buy photo boxes" on my to do list for months now. But, i never get them. I think b/c I know a WHOLE LOT of organization comes with that purchase.
You've inspired me to get crackin; :)
I like the boxes with the upholstery webbing..cute idea.
Yes, I also love and use these little boxes, I use them in all the ways you do, plus for swaps, the plain ones seem to make everything personalized for holidays I did a white one and wraped everything inside with orange,black, and purple tissue and used steamers as borders, then added a BOO to the front and under I had used a beautiful font for the persons initials, oh the ideas are endless, I wish I had a photo to show you. I love everything you have done with yours!
