{brocante}

Hope you had a great weekend. I had fun at the yard sales Saturday, even though they were pretty disappointing. I have never seen so many crockpots, neon stuffed animals and car tires in my life. Not to mention clothes. I did however get 1 or 2 little treasures. And I had a great time with my friend Cassandra and her Mom, Mary. Here is some of what I found yardsaling and at a recent estate sale:

Little Italian framed print $3 {key from Kasey at Lola B's}

French print $1

crazy oil painting of woman that looked french to me {maybe not} about $8

Books galore, most from the 1850's-1890's. $1 each.

Little lid to who-knows-what $1.

little white teapot $1.

I got a few other things but forgot to take pictures. Maybe in another post. Hope you enjoyed my new little tresors.

I have a friend who won't purchase portraits anymore. They have several large portraits from the 1700 & 1800s, and she swears she can hear them whispering to her.

I've always been nervous after hearing her say that.

Sweet finds! Our season hasn't really started up yet, but there were two estate sales in our lil' area this weekend. I found a set of 4 "forty year old" outdoor metal mesh chairs for 25 cents a piece. I just can't abide by the plastic stuff. : ) I didn't find to many other things, but my junkn' buddy, Alice, made off like a bandit. She came across a pretty cement fountain base and the homeowner said, "We have the top in the shed, I think she's broken so you can have her for free." So, Alice was given a perfectly good peasant girl fountain...she was just missing the pump. Alice already had a pump. What fun!

Happy hunting!
